Day 1 : Arrival at Leh Airport
Arrive at Leh Airport and meet your representative/driver. Transfer to the hotel for check-in. After a welcome drink, take a complete rest to acclimatize to the high altitude of Leh (3500 meters). In the late afternoon, take a drive to explore the local markets, followed by a visit to Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the Leh hotel.
Day 2 : Leh – Excursion to Sham Valley
After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Sham Valley. Visit Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, and the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers. On the return journey to Leh, stop at Spituk Monastery. Spend the evening at leisure and enjoy an overnight stay at the Leh hotel.
Day 3 : Leh – Nubra Valley via Khardung-La (18,390 ft)
After an early breakfast, depart for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardung-La (18,380 ft – the highest motorable pass in the world). Upon descending into the valley, drive to Hundar and check into a fixed camp. After lunch, enjoy a double hump camel ride on the Hundar sand dunes. Dinner and overnight stay in the Nubra Valley camp.
Day 4 : Nubra Valley – Leh
In the morning, drive to Diskit (headquarters of Nubra) and visit Diskit Monastery. Later, return to Leh, arriving in the late afternoon. Spend the rest of the day exploring the local markets. Dinner and overnight stay at the Leh hotel.
Day 5 : Leh to Pangong Lake
After breakfast, leave for Pangong Lake via Changla Pass (5486 meters). Enjoy the panoramic views of the villages below as you ascend the pass. Halt for a picnic lunch at Tsoltak, the summer pastureland of yaks. Arrive at Durbuk, then drive to the western shore of Pangong Lake. Admire the breathtaking landscape and the famous blue brackish lake, which extends over 144 km, with part of it running along the Indo-China border. Dinner and overnight stay at Pangong Lake camp.
Day 6 : Pangong Lake to Leh
After breakfast, retrace your route to Leh across Changla Pass. Upon reaching Karu, drive across the Indus River and visit Hemis Monastery, the largest and most famous monastery in Ladakh. Return to Leh for dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7 : Departure from Leh Airport
After breakfast, transfer to Leh Airport for your departure. Return home with sweet memories of your tour.
