Day 1 : Arrival in Phuentsholing
Arrive at NJP Railway Station or IXB Airport and transfer to Phuentsholing, the gateway to Bhutan. Check in at your hotel and spend the evening relaxing or exploring Phuentsholing town. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
Day 2 : Transfer to Thimphu
After breakfast, complete immigration formalities and drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital. Enjoy scenic stops for photography along the way. Check in at your Thimphu hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 3 : Thimphu Sightseeing
Visit Kuenselphodrang (Buddha Dordenma) for panoramic views of Thimphu Valley. Explore the National Memorial Chorten, Folk Heritage Museum, and Sangaygang View Point. Visit the Takin Preserve Centre and Changangkha Lhakhang. In the evening, visit Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan’s government and monastic body. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 4 : Thimphu to Punakha/Wangdue
Drive to Punakha/Wangdue, stopping at Dochu-La Pass for views of the Himalayas and the 108 Druk Wangyel Chortens. Check in at your Punakha/Wangdue hotel. Visit Punakha Dzong, a historic fortress and former seat of government, and take a short hike to Chhimi Lhakhang, the Temple of Fertility. Enjoy the evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Punakha/Wangdue.
Day 5 : Punakha/Wangdue to Paro
Drive to Paro, with a stop at Lamperi to visit the Royal Botanical Park. On arrival, check in at your hotel. In the afternoon, visit Ta Dzong (National Museum) and Rinpung Dzong, which serves as the administrative seat of Paro. Spend the evening exploring Paro town. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 6 : Excursion to Taktshang Monastery
Drive to the base of Taktshang Monastery and embark on a 2-3 hour hike to reach it. The monastery, clinging to a sheer rock cliff, offers spiritual and scenic rewards. In the afternoon, if time permits, visit Drukgyel Dzong and Kichu Lhakhang. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 7 : Paro to Phuentsholing
Check out from your hotel and transfer back to Phuentsholing. On arrival, check in at your hotel and spend the evening at leisure or exploring Phuentsholing town. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
Day 8 : Departure from Phuentsholing
Check out from the hotel and drive to NJP Railway Station or IXB Airport for your onward journey.
